Did you know that dogs infected with heartworm can have as many as 250 worms in their body, heartworms can reach 12 inches in length, or that cats can also get heartworm? If gone untreated, heartworm disease can result in severe lung disease, heart failure, other organ damage, and even death.
Here at Save-A-Pet, when a dog or a cat in our care tests positive for heartworm we jump into action to get that animal the treatment that it needs. This treatment however, can be very costly. We are asking for your help during National Heartworm Awareness month, to help us raise funds for this life saving, and necessary care.
Please donate below in order to help us provide this essential treatment to so many of our animals!
