Weaver came to Save-A-Pet almost 12.5 years ago as a little puppy. We quickly learned that he had very special needs.
Weaver’s care was not easy but he showed us his sweetness and zest for life so SAP promised to give him just that…LIFE. It is quite possible if he had been brought anywhere else on that hot day in July of 2007 he would have been euthanized. Staff and volunteers gave Weaver everything we possibly could and since we could not place Weaver outside of Save-A-Pet, due to his very special needs, SAP became his home. Weaver gave back every ounce of love that was given to him, and even though his brain wasn’t an “ordinary brain”, his heart and sweet innocence made up for that 10 times over. Weaver was surrounded by many of his beloved friends when he crossed over the rainbow bridge. Even if you just met him once or if you haven’t been able to visit in a while, we are all so grateful to have had the chance to be a part of the life of a dog who was truly one-in-a-million. Weaver is in all of us and we are all a part of Weaver. R.I.P. Weaver, aka “Weaver Beaver”, “Beaves”, or “Weave Beave”. Let “Weaver Time” live on in our hearts.
SAP is collecting donations in any amount to name Weaver’s Kennel in his memorial with a plaque. Any funds raised over what is needed to name the kennel will go towards other special needs animals in our care.
We couldn’t make stories like this happen without your support so thank you from Weaver and all of us at Save-A-Pet.
